The accent color Shorthair was bred from Siamese cats to be red or cream limited to points (face, legs, ears, tail and pubic area). Early crosses with domestic shorthairs and refinements by concentrating Siamese genes with red genes produced the color Shorthairs eventually called Colorpoint.
The accent-colored Shorthair, like many of the CFA breeds, is an artificial breed. In the 1940s and 1950s, some breeders took a chance and decided that the beautiful Siamese was the one to look at, not just the traditional confined and most common Blue Point type. A confined Siamese conceived a red tiger-spotted cat, and the American Shorthair breed was born! In 1964, the CFA Advanced Breed title was awarded to the red and cream Accent Color Shorthair, and in 1969 to the lynx-spotted and tortoiseshell-spotted Accent Color Shorthair. The Accent Color Shorthair breed now includes 16 colors with the same body and head shape in Siamese.
In the 1980s, a mix of British Shorthair (details) and Siamese cats was introduced. The Siamese cat color was passed on to the British Shorthair, resulting in a cat with a more sedate personality compared to the true Siamese. The shape of this cat is still being improved, but people are already breeding cats of good color and quality. A medium-sized, slim, delicate cat gradually thins to a long line, very lithe, but muscular. Males may be relatively large. The ideal is the same type of Siamese cat, but with its own unique, distinctive coloring. Although the difference in color makes it distinctive as a breed, the purpose of crossbreeding is to establish the same type of Siamese but with a different colored cat. The standard for accent colored shorthair cats reflects this goal and retains its distinctive coloration. As the Accent Shorthair is becoming more and more popular with cat lovers, there are now more and more cat lovers who are breeding Accent Color Shorthairs. The focus shorthair cat is preferred by the majority of cat lovers because it is gentle and docile, affectionate, and particularly close to humans.
The Focused Shorthair is introverted, elegant, self-possessed and loyal to its own sense of character. Never compare the Key Shorthair with other animals, it is very unique and every cat is special. The Key Shorthair has a strong sense of independence, yet is very affectionate to its owner. It does not get angry easily unless it is really annoying or hurts it. It can be your friend and pet companion in life. Cats do not have a large social circle and are not very class conscious, unlike dogs that obey power and leaders. So usually keep it is not so obedient must not use violence oh. Don't think it's a hassle to groom your accent colored shorthair cat, if you make it a daily habit, your accent colored shorthair cat will feel very comfortable and willing to play this game with you every day. And of course you will save yourself a lot of work! Because daily combing can comb off a lot of dead hair, is the fundamental method to remove hair loss, but also to avoid hair tangles, but also play a massage effect, promote blood circulation, enhance the health of the skin, only healthy skin is the key to not shed hair. It is absolutely wrong to bathe them repeatedly if you see a key color shorthair cat shedding, this is absolutely wrong, too diligent bathing will only destroy the skin tissue and trigger more terrible hair loss. It will also make the cat's skin become sensitive and fragile.
