The ancestors are Angora and Persian cats. Some people refer to the Chinchilla as an artificial cat, and from this alias, we can get a small glimpse of the Chinchilla's origin, they were deliberately bred by humans. Another thing that most people may not know is that the Chinchilla was the first purely artificially bred cat, and they appeared with 1894.
Today's Chinchilla has the characteristics of the silvery tiger spot and smoke cat breeds (even though they do not appear to be obvious on the outside). In fact, the recognized ancestry of the Chinchilla is difficult to verify, as it was bred from many breeds, but the origin of the breed is well documented, and all clues indicate that the breeding was actually developed by a female cat named Chinnie, born in 1882. So it is not clear whether the name "Chinchilla" came from Chinnie or whether the breed had some similarity to the Chinchilla, commonly known as the chinchilla.
The most successful Chinchilla in history was Ms. Decies' Ch Fulmer Zaida, born in 1895, who won 17 consecutive cat show championships between the ages of 6 and 10 (1901-1905)! The current top record holder is Ms. Crockmore's Snow Cloud, who won a total of 18 championships, 5 reserve championships and 1 third place between 1948-1955.
There are two most distinctive features of the Chinchilla: 1. Chinchilla eyes are large and they are the largest of almost all cats; 2. When viewed from the side, the Chinchilla's face is flat and it has been jokingly said that they are the angels that land face first when they fall to earth. And it is because of these two characteristics that the Chinchilla has become one of the most popular cats in the world. Ginger cats are bred from Persian cats, so they have some similarities with Persian cats, such as they like to be quiet and do not always disturb their owners; they are understanding and willing to be close to people; they are naturally intelligent and easily trained, etc. But Ginger cats also have some personalities. However, there are some personality traits that are more obvious than those of Persian cats, so let's take a look at which personalities are more prominent in Chinchillas.
First of all, like the Persian cat, the Chinchilla looks noble and gorgeous, and they are a nobleman on high. They do not think they are your "subjects", and they do everything to make a better life for themselves. Therefore, if you want to make your Chinchilla listen to you, you'd better guide your cat as a friend, otherwise they will also have rebellious feelings.
Secondly, although Chinchillas also like to be quiet, they are a bit more active than Persian cats and they are also more agile. To ensure that the cat has enough exercise, the owner can have a little game with the cat every day. If there is not enough time to accompany the cat, then prepare a few more toys, so that the cat will not feel lonely without company.
Third, Chinchilla cats can sometimes be a bit capricious, when the owner encountered the cat to make a small nature, you can induce by using snacks and other ways, so the cat is more likely to accept your instructions.
Chinchilla is very clean, they have nothing to do will lick their paws, clean up their body hair, etc., they do so in order to remove the body odor and dust. It should be noted that cats that lick their bodies a lot may swallow too much hair, and owners can feed them cat grass regularly in general. Chinchilla is a clean cat, so in the process of maintenance, owners must pay attention to ensure the clean living environment; Chinchilla is a cat that likes to run and jump, so in the process of maintenance, owners need to take time to play with their cats; Chinchilla is also a smart cat, as long as a little training, they can complete the instructions you teach them, and may even bring you some small surprises.
